Each spring, we hold a Primula Show; an Auricula Show and our Northeast Group bring the season to an end with their own show. Our members compete against each other and show-case their plants for our enjoyment. All shows are open to the public, see below for further details.
In addition to our competitive shows, we host a stand at the Harrogate Spring Flower Show to display the plants we grow, based around a traditional Auricula Theatre.
Come along, meet our members, we are only too happy to give advice and information to assist you in growing and cultivating Auriculas and Primulas.
The North-East group of the Society hold regular meetings, at Newbottle, Co. Durham covering a wide range of topics associated with growing and showing Auriculas and Primulas.
Plants must not be benched before the Exhibits Hall is opened by the Show Superintendant.
Exhibits to be staged before Judging commences at 12.00 noon.
Exhibits Hall open to public after Judging, from approximately 14.00 to 16.00hrs.
Plants are available for sale to members only at this show.
Our stand can be found in Hall 1 just inside the main entrance.
We are able to offer advice on growing and caring for Primulas and Auriculas.
Come along and speak to our members, we would love to see you.

The North East Group is now on its "Winter Break", with no meetings in November, December and January. The first meeting in 2025 will be on Tuesday 4 February, at 7pm, in Newbottle Club.
The North East Group was originally established by and for the many
growers in the North East of England and the Scottish
Borders who found it difficult to travel into Yorkshire and
the North West for regular group meetings.
As a "satellite" of NAPS Northern, the North East Group is
self-funding, membership is £5 per annum, ( this is in
addition to the NAPS membership fee); a small committee
consisting of Chair, Secretary and Treasurer organises the
regular meetings and the annual Show. The membership fee
enables the Group to pay the Club for 9 meetings and a full
day Show each year. Monies raised at Show day from plant
sales, refreshments and the raffle are put back into the
Group . In past years this has enabled us to subsidise
transport to the Primula and Auricula Shows and to make a
donation to NAPS Northern.
The annual North East Group Show on the second Saturday in May, follows
NAPS Northern Standards and receives valued support from
NAPS members.
For many years the North East Group have been represented on
the NAPS Northern Committee and currently the Treasurer and Archivist are all North East Group members as
well as being actively involved in the Northern Section.
We would be delighted to welcome more members
so, if you live in the North East or fancy a trip to the
darkest skies in England, do call in.
