       NAPS NORTHERN SECTION AURICULA SHOW

                        Saturday 5th of May 2012 at Cheadle


A really nice show and I think better than some and myself included were expecting with some quality plants benched on the day, below I have tried to give a good range of just some of the plants at the show but first as usual some results of the winners on the day.

Society Show Cup went to C. M. Gill and the Society Alpine Cup went to J. Cattle. Gold Laced Polyanthus Cup was awarded to J. Eddington and the Teem Trophy for best Green Edged went to C. M. Gill with his plant of Prague, the Newton Trophy for best Grey Edged went to R.Taylor and the Richard Westwood Trophy for best Self was awarded to R. Gosney for Sharon Louise.

The Tim Coop Trophy was awarded to N.Tyers and the Riddle Trophy for best Alpine Seedling went to K. Bowser for class 34. Best plant in class 1a Novices won the Baxter cup for A. Stevenson and also the J. H. Stant Trophy for best in Class 2a Novices, Alison also won the J. W. Midgley Cup and the R. H. Briggs cup, Alison also had the best Double Auricula in show with Chiquita but on this occasion no Premier medal was awarded for the Doubles, Congratulations Alison, very well done.

The Salt Pot was awarded to R. Williams and the Ferns Cup to T. Mitchell, B. Thompson was awarded the Bracewell Cup for his plant of Red Ruffles judged to be the best Primula on the day. J. Cattle won the Hunter Cup and also the Premier Alpine Medal ( the only Premier medal awarded this year )for his wonderful plant of Stella South.
