      NAPS NORTHERN SECTION AURICULA SHOW                   

                    SATURDAY MAY 1st 2010 AT CHEADLE

Below are the winners on the day followed by a small selection of some of the wonderful plants that appeared at this show, I hope you enjoy seeing them again if you were there, or for the first time if you were not.

Society Show Cup for most points in section 1 went to C.Gill, and the Premier Medal and Teem Trophy for the best show Auricula went to R.Taylor for the Green Edged "Clipper". R.Gosney won the Newton Trophy for the best Grey Edged with "Gavin Ward". G P.Firth won the Society Seedling Cup with his Green Edged Seedling, N D.Tyers won the Tim Coop Trophy for his set of 3 Self's. C.Gill had the best self with "Corntime"

The Society Alpine Cup for most points in section 2 went to J.Eddington, and the Premier Medal for the best Alpine Auricula went to J.Cattle for the Gold Centre "Jeff Scruton". K.Bowser won the Riddle Trophy for the best Alpine Seedling which was a Gold Centre, and the Faulkner Trophy for best Alpine raised by the exhibitor with his "Toffee Crisp"

J.Eddington won the Society GLP Cup for most aggregate points over the 2 shows.

P.Salt won the Monica Whorton Salver for the best Double Seedling and the Salt Pot for most points in the section also the Premier medal for best Double Auricula with "Lincoln Imp"

In the novices section G.Zoeller won the Baxter Cup with "Toolin" and the Stant Cup with "Joy", she also won the J W Midgley Cup for most points in 1a. C Bould won the R H Briggs Cup for most points in section 2a.

T.Mitchell won the Ferns Cup for most points in section 6 (primulas) and the Bracewell Cup for the best primula with his own raised seedling now named "Ossett Moonlight".

The Hunter Cup for most points in show went to C Gill.
